Cape Tribulation may miss out on Festival

Trainer Malcolm Jefferson has warned ante-post backers away from Cape Tribulation, declaring that his charge may not run if the going is too fast.

‘As long as it’s good safe jumping ground, that’ll be alright. If it comes up too quick, he might not run’ Jefferson told the Racing Post. The five year old currently holds entries in the Ballymore Properties Hurdle and the Albert Bartlett Novices Hurdle, where he is best priced 16/1 with Ladbrokes and 6/1 with Victor Chandler respectively.

Punters watching the weather forecast may want to take a chance on the five-year old who was an impressive winner at Doncaster in January. The current forecast points towards Good to Soft for Cheltenham next week.
