Citroen sponsor leading trainer and rider awards

Cheltenham Racecourse today announced that leading car manufacturer Citroën is to sponsor the prestigious awards for the top jockey and trainer at The Festival.
 
The Citroën Leading Rider Award and Citroen Leading Trainer Award will be presented to the jockey and trainer who win the most races during next week’s highlight of the Jump racing season, with the number of second, third and fourth places being taken into account if necessary.

The winning trainer and jockey both receive a perpetual trophy, plus an award of £1,000. The Citroën Leading Trainer will also receive £1,000 for his or her stable staff and the Citroën Leading Rider will gain £1,000 for Racing Welfare.
