Festival punters fought back to smash the bookies on the penultimate day of the Cheltenham Festival as favourites took the big races.
Ladbrokes spokesman David WIlliams of Ladbrokes said: "If the first day went to the bookies, Thursday was the punters' revenge. They've dealt us a body blow in the betting ring and have the big race favourites to thank.
"Some of the lesser races went for us but Master Minded and Inglis Drever were wretched results for us.
"Going into Gold Cup day, its' punter pockets rather than our satchels that are bulging. We're on the back foot but we're not out of it yet."

David Williams of Ladbrokes said: "It was a privilege to watch. Punters who kept the faith have been rewarded handsomely with Master Minded. We'll make no apologies about being so short about a repeat win next year. He was exceptional."
