Morris undecided on Attrition target

Mark Ingram - 15 Feb 2010

Mouse Morris will wait until the Grand National weights are unveiled on Tuesday before deciding if War of Attrition will head to Cheltenham for the World Hurdle.

After yet another fantastic performance at Navan yesterday, the former Cheltenham Gold Cup winner is now a best price 33-1 with Ladbrokes for another festival success.

The eleven-year-old, set to be retired at the end of the season, gave a bold front running performance denying short priced favourite Mourad by a head and giving him a second successive win over timber.

“He's absolutely fine this morning and it was another very good performance from him," said Morris.

"He looked to have plenty on his plate over a trip short enough for him and giving weight away to some good horses, but he has done it well and I think his jumping was the key to it.

"He's in the World Hurdle and the National and we'll have a better idea of what we're doing once the weights come out on Tuesday" added the Irish trainer.
