JP Mcmanus's Cheltenham arsenal looks as strong as ever, after support for vetran chaser L'Ami (5/2 Hills) for the Cross Country Chase means he now has seven ante-post favourites for Cheltenham next week.
His leading novice Karabak (7/2 Ladbrokes) also assumed favouritism yesterday for the Ballymore Properties Novice Hurdle, and there is a strong feeling that J.P could again win the owners title, as he did back in 2006/2007. He has currently got the bookmakers quaking in their boots, as Coral director and PR Simon Clare explained:
'It wouldn't bear thinking about if all his favourites won - the 2003 Festival was the worst in betting history bu this would dwarf it'.
Although dominating significantly in the markets however, McManus's manager played down the teams hopes, saying that most of the favourites 'were in handicaps', and that the team would be 'delighted to go away from Cheltenham with one winner'.
J.P Mcmanus's other favourites for next week include Aigle D'Or in the Coral Cup, and the sponsors Coral have him best priced at 6/1.
