With the frenzy building ahead of next week’s Cheltenham Festival, William Hill have released new specials surrounding the highlight of the jump racing calendar.
Already punters, pundits, and professionals are picking their bankers of the week, and Hills have opened betting on which of the short-priced fancies will prevail by the longest distance.
Despite the nature of his clash against Denman, stablemate Kauto Star is 15/8 favourite to win his event by the longest margin, over Inglis Drever (3/1), Sizing Europe (7/2), and Franchoek (9/2).
Hills also bet 6/1 that none of the above fancies manages to win their respective race.
Kate Miller, spokeswoman for Hills, said: "We feel this market is open to a large amount of conjecture, with so many factors to consider when trying to calculate what the likely distances are.
"All of the runners we’ve quoted have produced impressive trial performances in their last few runs, yielding higher-than-average winning margins, but Cheltenham is a totally difference ball game all together."
