Gold Cup Odds: Exotic Dancer back to 16-1 but Inglis Drever Drifts to 13-8

James Cameron - 27 Feb 2008

After hitting the heights of 39-1 for the totesport Gold Cup on Betfair yesterday, Exotic Dancer is back into 16-1 for the race on the exchange.  However, as betting fears would appear to have eased in that quarter for the time being, so it is the turn of Inglis Drever to prove weak in the market for his Cheltenham target.

The premier staying hurdler is generally odds-on across for the board with the traditional bookmakers, but he is available at 13-8 on Betfair for the Ladbrokes World Hurdle.

Betfair spokesman Tony Calvin commented: “Upbeat bulletins from connections look to have stabilised Exotic Dancer’s price at around the 16-1 mark, after he was available at twice those odds yesterday evening – albeit to small money.

“However, it is now the turn of Inglis Drever to attract the layers’ attention, though that would be entirely down to the fact that Howard Johnson has a very public problem with his stable.”
