Hebridean slashed for the JCB Triumph Hurdle

Hebridean was slashed for the JCB Triumph Hurdle after winning at Kempton.

Paul Nicholls' charge was breaking his duck over timber at the third time of asking and the ex-Aidan O'Brien-trained four-year-old was most impressive.

Sky Bet reacted to his Adonis Hurdle triumph by cutting him to 12s from 33s for the Triumph. William Hill are 12s from 20s and Blue Square 14s from 33s.

Winning jockey Ruby Walsh hinted that he may be tempted to wait for Aintree with Hebridean but Nicholls hasn't ruled out the Cheltenham feature.

"He is improving all the time - we had not had him long before his first run for us and it took a while for him to get into our routine," he said.

"If it was really soft we might wait for Aintree but if he looks like he has a chance of winning the Triumph Hurdle then we could well try."
