William Hill have pushed the 2007 Gold Cup hero Kauto Star out from 2-1 to 9-4 favourite to regain his Gold Cup crown. The bookmakers have reported more money for other horses in the race and as a consequence have pushed the nine year old out in their Gold Cup betting.
William Hill spokesman Tony Kenny commented “We’ve been top priced Kauto for the last week, but punters don’t seem to be interested in backing Kauto at any price” He continued “Some firms make him as low 6-4 favourite for the Gold Cup, but the way things are going he could drift out to 11-4 or 3-1 before Friday”
