The merry-go-round that is Denman's price for the totesport Cheltenham Gold Cup on
Betfair has come to a halt at the [7.4] mark this morning after an upbeat update from the horse's part-owner Harry Findlay on ATR.
In recent days the horse has touched as high as [11.0] on the exchange after seemingly conflicting reports from those involved with last year's Gold Cup winner.
But news from Findlay that the horse worked satisfactorily on the all-weather gallop on Saturday, and more importantly schooled well this morning, has seen the horse shorten from [9.0] to [7.4] on Betfair.
Betfair spokesman Tony Calvin commented: "After apparently voicing some serious concerns about the horse's Gold Cup claims at a Festival preview night last week, Harry seemed a touch more chipper and upbeat today.
"This inevitably led to the Betfair market immediately reacting to his comments, but it remains to be seen whether the momentum in Denman's price fades once again."
