Noland now Ryanair Favourite after Punchestown Raid

Noland now heads the betting as the clear 4-1 favourite for the Ryanair chase after victory in this afternoon’s John Durkan memorial chase.

William Hill cut the odds on Paul Nicholls’s chaser to 4-1 from 5-1 after his successive at Punchestown this afternoon.

Despite flip-flopping in the betting with War of Attrition the former Supreme Novices’ Hurdle winner achieved victory on the heavy ground – narrowly beating the fast-finishing The Listener.

War of Attrition – who finished back in third- has been eased in the betting to 25-1 from 16-1 for both the King George and Gold Cup.

Kate Miller, spokeswoman for Hill, said: ‘’ Paul Nicholls’s has found his perfect candidate in Noland for an assault on an event he has won twice since its inception. This was an extremely classy field, but no-one enjoyed the trip as much as the winner.’’
