Robert Thornton and Voy Por Ustedes

Top Jockey Robert Thornton is gearing up for what promises to be another successful Festival for himself and his main employer Alan King, and in particular next Thursdays Ryanair Chase with Voy Por Ustedes. Speaking to the Racing Post, 'Chocolate' Thornton spoke highly of the dual Cheltenham winner.

‘He’s the kind of horse you love to ride at the Festival. The Festival suits Voy Por, partly because he loves this time of year and he loves going left handed, but mainly because he’s got the gears to get him travelling and get him balanced’ said Thornton.

An older horse now, it is clear on last year that he does not possess the pace of a horse like Master Minded. Since then, Alan King has trained him with the Ryanair Chase in mind, and he is primed for another strong showing next week. He is best priced 6/4 favourite with Ladbrokes and Hills for what would be a third victory in different races at the Festival.
