Blinkers Could Make The Impact For Pipe Team

Trainer David Pipe is hoping that first time blinkers can improve Osana and Ashkazar's chances in the Champion Hurdle.

Pipe has certainly used headgear to great effect in the past with his horses. He saddled Our Vic to victory in the Ryanair Chase last year wearing blinkers, and Madison Du Berlais has been a revelation since being fitted with cheekpieces.

'Osana goes there in great form' said Pipe, who also commented that the blinkers 'will help Ashkazar, who raced lazilly at Wincanton'.

Osana is top priced 11/1 with Victor Chandler to go one better this year, whilst Ashkazar is a 20/1 shot with Hills.
