The Henrietta Knight trained Calgary Bay has been backed into 5-1 (from 6-1) with bookmakers Corals for the Arkle on the opening day of the Cheltenham Festival. There has also been support for Alexander Severus for the Fred Winter Hurdle, now 6-1 (from 7-1).
"There has been continual support for the AP McCoy ridden Calgary Bay over the last couple of days, and after numerous large wagers from clued up judges we couldn't hold the 6-1 any longer and are now 5-1," said Coral spokesman Gary Burton, "we were also forced to cut Alexander Severus for the Fred Winter after significant interest from a number of shrewdies."
