If your horse finishes second to the SP Favourite in any of the six races of Cheltenham Tuesday, Paddy Power will refund your losing single stake.

With a couple of short-priced favourites on the first day, including Noland in the Arkle Chase and Sizing Europe in the Champion Hurdle, Paddy Power's offer gives punters the chance to get their Cheltenham off to a flyer.

Paddy Power, head of communications for the bookie, said: "We're counting down the days now to what should be another terrific Cheltenham. The first day often sets the tone for the week and our offer will hopefully help ease any first day nerves for punters."

The bookie is repeating its costly Gold Cup day special of 12 months ago when Kauto Star's big race romp cost them over €1,250,000 (£780,000). Paddy Power had promised to refund punters' losing bets on any horse that finished second to an SP favourite on Gold Cup day and Kauto Star was one to duly oblige for punters for a monster €750,000 (£470,000) payout and with second favourite Exotic Dancer also well backed the bookie refunded a further €500,000 on top (£350,000).
