Irish Champion trainer Willie Mullins’ has entered a whopping 13 horses for this year’s Weatherby’s Champion Bumper at the Cheltenham Festival. The County Carlow handler is responsible for over a quarter of the 51 strong entry in the race and half of the 26 strong Irish entry for the 2 mile flat contest.
Mullins’ has already won six Bumper and William Hill rate him a 4-7 chance to record his seventh win in the race at this year’s Festival. The bookies also offer odds of 14-1 that the Bumper king trains the first three home in the Grade 1 contest.
Willie has six of the top nine horses in Hills Champion Bumper betting - 13-2 Sicilian Secret, 7-1 Quinola Des Obeaux, 12-1 Lios A Choill, 14-1 Cadspeed, 14-1 Gagewell Flyer, 14-1 Quel Esprit.
